I would like to thank everyone (students, families, parents, staff) for all of your support and hard work to make our Chili Cook-Off a success this past Saturday. We were able to raise $1025 for the program which will be purchasing some new music for our spring concert as well as a few necessary music supplies. I believe everything went off without a hitch and I received several compliments from visitors about the event!! GREAT JOB EVERYBODY! PICTURES I would like to post pictures of the event on our website for others to view so if you have pictures from Saturday, please email them to me ([email protected]). Lastly, if you have any feedback from the event on things that went well or things you see that could improve our event, please fill out the form below and let me know. All suggestions are welcome! Have a great week! Mrs. Gauldin

We are in the home stretch in preparing for our event tomorrow! Please see final reminders and items still needing attention below!
I am also glad to say that the website appears to be working properly again! ::fingers crossed:: REMINDERS
HELP WANTED! I am in need of a parent supervisor (help students work) for the following areas. If you are willing to help, please let me know.
DONATIONS STILL NEEDED - if you can provide these, please comment below so that I do not purchase them
We currently only have 16 chili cook-off entries. Most years we have 25-30. Last year we had 27 and we ran out of chili!! If you or anyone you know is interested in cooking, please let them know they can still send it in. Please comment below if you know of more entries coming in! I want to be prepared! Spread the word everybody!!!!
One of our biggest money makers aside from the actual cook-off is our bake sale.
Every family of the BCMS Band is REQUIRED to bring one "batch" of items for the sale. This could be a batch of cookies, a dozen cupcakes, or a pan of brownies. Each batch should be individually wrapped to sell for $1. Please try to make these items homemade. Items that come pre-packaged end up not selling. Can't bake? That's ok! Buy one of the nicer items in the bakery at your favorite store and slice the cakes or pies and put them into containers that make them look homemade! We won't tell! See everyone Saturday! Mrs. Gauldin Chili Cook-Off entries are due no later than next Monday, February 22. The price to enter is $10. We have 6 entries in at this time. We had 29 last year and we ran out of chili before 5:30. Entries are extremely important! Ask everyone you know and turn them in as soon as you have them so I can get them set up.
Need a registration form? Visit the Chili Cook-Off page to download a form and print! Mrs. Gauldin Band 1 students have a playing test this Friday, February 12 during class on exercise #88: Technique Trax. This piece is difficult and encompasses multiple techniques that we have recently learned. Students should be practicing every night in order to prepare for their test.
