Due to being in the new space, I will be holding a planning meeting on Monday, October 9 in the band room at 6:30pm. All parents interested in helping plan and coordinate the event are welcome. We will need a lot of volunteers, so any help is appreciated. Students will receive 2 forms and a parent letter this upcoming Monday to prepare for the event. Have a great long weekend! Mrs. Gauldin Beginning Band students will start learning basic techniques on mouthpieces and sticks starting Tuesday, September 5. Students should bring their mouthpiece (and reeds if clarinet/sax) in a sealed ziploc bag with their name on the outside. Students SHOULD not bring the whole instrument until instructed to do so. Percussionists should bring their sticks (rubber-banded together) and practice pad.
We will have a note quiz next Thursday, September 7 on treble and bass clef notes. Thanks! Mrs. Gauldin This post is for advanced students taking band again this year. Please stock up on supplies for the start of the year. We will begin playing Day 2 of school. Below are supplies you need to make sure you have as we start the year.
